About Dave

David B. Watts dedicated 50 years to uncovering the facts as a licensed private investigator, with a focus on fraud and business investigations. Together with his wife of over 60 years, Linda, Dave tackled cases for prominent law firms and Fortune 500 companies, managing complex issues from kickbacks to high-stakes security matters across the bustling New York to Philadelphia corridor.

Dave's investigative journey began in his twenties as a patrolman in Plainfield, New Jersey, where he quickly rose to the rank of detective. His skills and determination led him to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, where he served as a County Investigator. These early experiences laid the groundwork for his transition to the private sector, where he handled a range of cases, including murder investigations and countless insurance fraud cases.

Now retired and in his eighties, Dave has written his memior, Accidental P.I., then followed up with three novels—the plots and characters drawn from his years of investigative experience.
